- Flock Yeah! The Farm
September 16, 2017 - September 17, 2017
12:00 pm - 7:00 pm
WARNING! FLOCK YEAH! mini birth conferences are FUN, INFORMAL and IRREVERENT. Most folks expect birth workshops to be about increasing skills to “do” more stuff. This is about learning to REALLY understand the needs of the birthing family and BE an effective companion.
Flock Yeah! will be a gathering unlike any other birthy event you have attended. There may be “mild” swearing and loads of laughing. There WILL be transformation. If you are okay with all of this then sign up right away! We expect the event to sell out! Topics will include the essential role of Intuition (for the mother and her attendants), how engaging Dads can be the missing link to a mind-blowing birth experience.
Learn ways to release self limiting beliefs and learn how what you really ARE is more important than what you DO. If you are down and OPEN to have your world rocked and your mind blown, COME TO THIS WORKSHOP. If you are down to have your hair blown back and your ideals rocked then by all means please come read on. This event will be BYOC (Bring your own Chocolate, we will be having a chocolate bar exchange).
PLEASE watch the video to get a feel for our events!
I am excited, thrilled and so happy to announce our 14th FLOCK YEAH! Mini Birth Conference. So far we have held trainings in Nashville Tennessee, Dallas Texas, San Francisco California, Toronto Canada, San Antonio Texas, San Diego California, Austin Texas, Portland Oregon, Los Angeles California, Albuquerque New Mexico, Norwalk Connecticut, Vancouver Canada and Queens New York.
This years Nashville Flock is special is a TWO day event at a private residence.
We love having our events at private residences. When we get together we are family so why NOT Flock Together in a beautiful home? This home is especially lovely and I hope we will get to spend time in the lovely front and back yards. There’s also a fire pit!
Our speakers, thus far, have been internationally known, moving & inspirational. This event will be no different.
I am proud and so excited to announce that Lesley Everest will be our special guest speaker.
Lesley Everest: Bio: Lesley Everest, mother of four, has been a doula for over two decades. She is the founder of MotherWit Doula Care Agencies, MotherWit Doula Training (Holistic Birth and Postpartum Doula Certifications), and Birth Essentials Prenatal Classes. Lesley’s mission is to connect families, doulas, and care providers to their motherwit, encouraging the modern birth/parenting culture to become one that honors the true meaning of “family-centred” care.
What you get from Lesley:
The Thriving Doula (2 hours)
-examine your level of well-being as a birth professional
-instead of expanding a scope of practice, develop a practice which expands your scope.
– move through limiting beliefs about birth, prosperity, and community
Flock Yeah events are unlike other birth conferences in that we aren’t just hoping to educate, we are hoping to inspire introspection, change and growth. It’s not enough for us to share knowledge we want to share love, inspiration, community and good will. Love? Yes we said love. Can you imagine your world without it? We can’t and we want our workshops to be just chock full of it.
My favorite thing about Flock Yeah events is hanging out with old friends and making new ones. I love presenting, it’s not teaching it’s a presentation, what you take from what I share is up to you. If you don’t me yet here’s a lil about me:
Whapio Diane Bartlett
Whapio has been an Independent Midwife for over 30 years, attending women and families in birth and educating women in the Arts of Midwifery and Healing. She also teaches Homeopathy and is affiliated with HANA (Hahnemann Academy of North America).
Whapio has studied homeopathy and Qigong with Robin Murphy, ND for over 20 years. She has also studied healing at The Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Beijing Massage Hospital in China. Whapio is a Community Mediator and counselor for family concerns. She speaks and writes frequently about Quantuum Midwifery and Returning Birth to the Gena on Whapio: Yes, I know that sounds funny. But I have to say a number of things about her.
#1. Do NOT miss the opportunity to be in this woman’s presence. She will change how you do whatever it is you are doing. She is an elder, a crone, a treasure. Sit at her feet and soak it in.
“Mentoring is an archetypal activity that has timeless elements which can connect us to the universal ground where nature renews itself and culture becomes reimagined. Youth and elder meet where the pressure of the future meets the presence of the past. Old and young are opposites that secretly identify with each other; for neither fits well into the mainstream of life.” -Michael Meade
#2. You will laugh your ass off, Whapio has a charm and charisma that wraps you up and throws you about and you love it. She is so funny and charming.
“It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious.” -Oscar Wilde
#3 She is an entire library of wisdom. I am not even going to list what she is going to talk about because no matter what you will be left with your jaw on the floor.
“Where wisdom reigns, there is no conflict between thinking and feeling.” C.G.Jung
#4 She is a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity to actually meet someone you want to become.
“19 years later and I still title her, “My midwife”. The woman who reflected to me my power, and allowed for one of the greatest spiritual experiences of my life.”-Janet Martin Hughes
